Recommendations

Before the treatment:

Avoid exfoliation or peels for the 3 days beforehand.
Do not apply make-up or oily skincare on the day of your appointment.
Let us know if you are undergoing active dermatological treatment or have very sensitive skin.

After the treatment:

Avoid direct sun exposure and saunas for 24 hours.
Use SPF 50 sunscreen every day.
Do not apply make-up for 12 hours.
Avoid pollution and tobacco smoke as far as possible.
We recommend a facial cleansing treatment every 4–6 weeks, according to your skin’s needs, and at least at every change of season (every 3 months).
Maintaining a daily cleansing, moisturising and sun-protection routine at home is essential to prolong the results.

Does it leave marks or redness?

No. At Garvin, we do not use steam. Instead, we use alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and a neuro-relaxing massage to make impurities easier to extract without irritating the skin, so you can continue with your usual daily activities.

Do I need to book an appointment in advance?

Yes. We book your session together with an initial assessment so we can understand your skin’s needs and personalise the treatment.

Can I apply make-up after the facial cleansing treatment?

Although there is no contraindication to wearing make-up if necessary, we recommend allowing your skin to rest and breathe for 24 hours to maximise the benefits of the cleansing treatment.

Can I have a facial cleansing treatment if I have sensitive skin?

Yes. We tailor every facial cleansing treatment following a complimentary assessment in our consultation room, selecting the products and techniques best suited to your skin type.
